The Dysfunctional Family: How to Set Boundaries and Heal Yourself

You didn't imagine the chaos. You weren't overreacting. And you're not broken, just wounded by a family system that taught you love had conditions, silence was survival, and your needs didn't matter.

The Dysfunctional Family: How to Set Boundaries and Heal Yourself is a transformative self-help guide for anyone who grew up in emotionally unsafe homes or continues to struggle with toxic family dynamics. Drawing from her background in psychology and her own journey through generational dysfunction, author Juanita E. Kelly offers readers the clarity, compassion, and tools needed to break the cycle and reclaim their lives.

This book explores what family dysfunction really is, not just occasional conflict or communication issues, but deeply rooted patterns of control, guilt, enmeshment, and emotional neglect. You'll uncover the roles you were forced to play (the Scapegoat, the Hero, the Peacemaker) and how they continue to show up in your adult relationships.

But this isn't just about understanding. It's about healing.

Inside, you'll learn:

How to recognize the signs of dysfunction, and how it affects your identity?

What healthy boundaries look like, and how to set them without guilt?

How to manage difficult family members without losing your peace?

Why are self-worth, self-trust, and emotional safety the foundation of freedom?

How to create a new legacy, one that starts with you?

With practical tools, reflective exercises, and affirmations for emotional strength, this book isn't here to shame your family; it's here to set you free from its grip.

Whether you're just starting to question your family dynamic or deep into your healing journey, The Dysfunctional

Family is your guide to clarity, courage, and lasting change.

You are not the problem. You're the pattern-breaker. And your healing begins now.
