When Junior Detective Julie Benz, and her senior partner, Frank Drake, are called to answer a routine noise complaint in an upper class neighborhood in their home of Gateway City, neither of them expected to be at ground zero for a world-altering event the likes of which no one had ever seen!

A sad, but all-too-common case of justice denied for a slain child, thanks to a flawed court system, leads to grieving parents becoming consumed by a rage beyond sanity, and appealing to forces beyond their understanding.

While navigating the treacherous climate of a police department under siege, Benz and Drake must race against time, and consult various individuals from all walks of life, to save their home from the wrath of parents turned judge, jury, and executioner, at the behest of cosmic intelligences beyond human comprehension.

But as they delve further into their investigation, can Benz and Drake maintain their sanity - and humanity - in the face of cosmic horror?

Or will they become as alien, and diabolical, as the very parents they're chasing?
