Keeping Kids (and Teens) Safe and Happy: Helpful Tips for Parents and Grandparents

The first part of this self-help book will give helpful tips and advice to parents, guardians, grandparents and babysitters on how to avoid and prevent accidents that unfortunately happen all too often to children, teenagers and young adults. There are also dangers from cellphone and social media overuse that is addressed in this book. Ideas, suggestions and advice presented in this book are gleaned from experts as well as from my personal experience as a teacher and parent and from my educational studies.
Part Two will have helpful suggestions from experts, as well as from my own studies and experiences, on how to create a positive and nurturing home environment, where children flourish. There are suggestions on how to keep children happy, well-adjusted, fulfilled and engaged. Childhood adventures with family create lasting memories and can be educational and interesting as well and ideas for family adventures are included.
This book will also offer ideas and skills to help children and teens reduce their fears, excessive worrying and the anxiety that many children face, living in this complex, modern age. There will also be references to the importance of prayer, mindfulness, knowledge of Scripture and living in the present moment.
