Willaby: A Monarch's Journey:

Willaby is a Monarch butterfly. He starts his life in a butterfly habitat as a tiny egg on the bottom of a milkweed leaf. This story follows Willaby through the 4 stages of the metamorphosis process from egg, to caterpillar, to chrysalis. At last he emerges as a beautiful butterfly. He is safe in the habitat but he cannot stay there because winter is coming. Once released from the habitat, we see him quickly make a friend, narrowly escape a couple predators, meet a special companion, and finally start on his migratory journey to Mexico all before the chilling winter sets in. Willaby comes to appreciate the beauty in this world and discovers there are some very nice people in it still. He also learns to pay close attention to his surroundings in order to avoid the dangers outside the safety of the habitat.
