INSATIABLE paradoxically advances that weight-loss diets are only 1-3% effective yet remain the primary therapeutic modality recommended by doctors and dietitians. The field of Medicine's myopic view of obesity maintains treatment strategies aimed at diets, bariatric surgeries, and appetite suppressant drugs. They temporarily treat the symptoms but not the root causes, which are primarily socio-demographic and spiritual problems.
