Still a child and with no means to sustain herself, she soon discovers an astounding talent that will take her all over the world. This is the story of an exceptional woman who worked hard for personal growth and climbed the social ladder, making mistakes and facing difficult decisions along the way…including taking justice in her own hands.

Following a career in the cultural world, where she became known for her commitment to equality, social justice and the environment, Llerena Perozo Porteiro (Vigo, 1974) changed her life drastically in 2020: She gave up her job, her apartment in Santiago de Compostela, and her urban lifestyle for a new life in rural Galicia. Since then, she has contributed to various Galician media outlets and published two novels. The Quiet Years is her first book in Spanish.
