With the highest kaiju-emergence rates in the world, Japan is no stranger to attack by deadly monsters. But kaiju don't attack every day! Sometimes, even the best and brightest kaiju-fighting heroes get a chance to relax.

Things take a strange turn when Kafka bumps into Reno and the two somehow swap bodies, forcing them to find a way to switch back. Meanwhile, the Defense Force tackles a murder mystery, a dating sim sparks unexpected mayhem, and Kafka attempts pet ownership with predictably disastrous results. When the kaiju aren't attacking, the real trouble begins!
