In Race to the River - The Journey Continues, a young Native American brother and sister continue an event-filled, 13th century journey that they began in Race to the Moonrise - An Ancient Journey, and attempt to bring their injured father from today's southern Colorado to their home in Casas Grandes, Mexico. In this sequel, readers continue to learn about the prehistory of the Southwest in addition to that of several Southern California Native groups. This book has been approved for use with Native American children by the Intertribal Cultural Committee of the Council for Indian Education.
