Eleanor H. Porter's 1913 classic is combined with its 1915 sequel in a single volume, with comfortable 14-point type and the original black-and-white illustrations by Stockton Mulford and H. Weston Taylor. The books are unabridged in this edition but have had some spelling and punctuation updates.

Pollyanna is orphaned and moves in with her strict, duty-bound aunt. Pollyanna's intentional and contagious gladness spreads through the entire town, but it has no effect on Aunt Polly--until something happens that endangers Pollyanna's own ability to "just be glad."
