San Francisco Ship Passenger Lists. Volume IV

This volume is the fourth in a series of volumes, which will list the names of passengers arriving in the Port of San Francisco from 1850 to 1875. (see also San Francisco Ship Passenger Lists Volume II [1850-1861], San Francisco Ship Passenger Lists Volume III [1851-1852], and San Francisco Ship Passenger Lists Volume IV ). All volumes are fully indexed. As San Francisco was the main entry port for the settlement of the West this work would be of interest to historians, researchers and genealogists. The early pioneers of the West came from all parts of the world and many selected the sea route. The passenger lists in this series will reflect vessel arrivals from all ports. This work is the first to explore this facet of Western lore during the formative quarter century of 1850 to 1875. Gold, cattle, land and commerce drew, like a magnet, those pioneers who laid the foundation of Western culture.
