The Living Dead Girl

In this haunting erotic horror film from cult filmmaker Jean Rollin, toxic gasses make a beautiful girl (Francoise Blanchard) into a blood-drinking zombie. She lives in an abandoned castle, and her doting human friend (Marina Pierro) procures victims from a nearby village. As her consumption of blood increases, the girl's memory begins to return, bringing with it a poignant sense of loss and the terrible knowledge that her friend will not survive her hunger. Bloody and sensual, La Morte Vivante may be Rollin's most darkly erotic film, and its atmospheric visuals will stay with the viewer for a long time.
