My First Mister

"Albert Brooks and Leelee Sobieski make an unlikely duo in the comedy drama My First Mister. Paramount has done a fine job at making sure that this 1.85:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer appears free and clear of any excessive imperfections or defects. The color patterns all appear solid and well-defined with the black levels well saturated and even. Except for a small amount of edge enhancement, this is a very nice-looking image. The audio is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround as well as Dolby 2.0 Surround, both in English. The 5.1 mix on this disc is subtle yet effective, with the main directional effects are focused through the music score and background noises. Also included on this disc are English subtitles. The extra features on My First Mister are on the low side. While an included commentary track by director Christine Lahti is informative and often amusing, nary a theatrical trailer or featurette is to be found on the disc."
