On Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, the Office of Research Education at the CU School of Medicine continues its partnership with the Tattered Cover involving a bi-monthly series of talks about biomedical research topics.
Join us for an exciting discussion led by Kat Terwelp (PhD student, Biomedical Sciences/Computational Biosciences PhD Programs ), Charmie Vang (PhD student, Microbiology Program PhD student), and Janani Ravi (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Biomedical Informatics). Kat, Charmie and Janani build computer-based models and tools to help scientists understand how microbes survive in different environments, how they cause disease, and how our bodies respond to infections. In this session, we will focus on predicting complex whether a microbe will succumb or become resistant to antibiotics and other treatments. Beyond research, we are passionate about making data science and quantitative biology welcome to everyone!
