The Office of Research Education at the CU School of Medicine continues its partnership with the Tattered Cover Book Store on May 27th, 2026, with a presentation entitled “The Persistence of PFAS: How 'forever chemicals' slip into our lives, and into our cells".
Leading the evening are Suzanna Kafer (PhD candidate) and Dr. Kristen Boyle (Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics), who are both members of the Integrated Physiology PhD program. Come learn how persistent ‘forever chemicals’ called PFAS travel from everyday products into our biology. With approachable science, real world examples, and interactive moments, we’ll uncover what makes these molecules so persistent and what science is doing to understand and reduce their health impacts.
