LENGTH & TOPIC OF PRESENTATION
Ryan’s performances are fast-paced, high-energy, and highly interactive. He spends a few minutes introducing his books and reading a short excerpt, and then he dives into the lesson/show. Middle-grade students get an interactive introduction to story-building, which has volunteer students come up front and act out a hilarious adventure. The sessions culminate in a practical lesson that demonstrates how students can utilize what they just learned to easily create a story idea of their own—about almost anything. After that, the final few minutes are spent answering student questions.
