ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Molly Brooks is the illustrator of Flying Machines: How the Wright Brothers Soared by Alison Wilgus, and the creator of many comics. Her illustrations have appeared in The Guardian, The Boston Globe, Time Out New York, BUST Magazine, ESPN social, Sports Illustrated online, and others. She spends her spare time watching vintage buddy cop shows and making comics about knitting, hockey, and/or feelings. Molly lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
ABOUT THE BOOK: Sanity & Tallulah
When Sanity’s living science experiment goes missing, she and her best friend Tallulah will have to work together to find it before it causes the entire station to shut down! Fans of Raina Telgemeier's Smile and Cece Bell's El Deafo will love how Brooks deftly balances humor and heart in this action-packed, visual tour de force! It can get pretty dull living on a small, out-of-the-way station like Wilnick SS. Best friends Sanity Jones and Tallulah Vega do their best to relieve the monotony of everyday space life by finding adventures, solving mysteries, and taking turns getting each other into and out of trouble. But when Sanity's latest science project—an extremely-illegal-but-impossibly-cute three-headed kitten—escapes from the lab and starts causing general havoc, the girls will have to turn the station upside down to find her—before the damage becomes irreversible! Molly Brooks is a gifted creator who brings expressive characters to life with unique two-color drawings. Chock-full of imaginative biology, tech, and engineering references, Sanity & Tallulah encourages experimentation, problem solving, and science. Sanity & Tallulah is the first in a trilogy.
