How You Can Help Support Tattered Cover During the Coronavirus

Greetings Customers, 

Thank you so much for the flood of support in the last 24 hours! We wanted to give you a sense of what's going at our stores, and what you can do to help.

All locations remain closed, though our website is still open for business (more on that below). We have a skeleton crew filling online orders, with all other employees on unpaid temporary leave (this allows their health insurance to continue -- so important right now!!) This is a very difficult time for our more than 100 colleagues, who to us, are like family. 

If you're looking for a way to support our staff, beyond ordering books from our website, you can donate to the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (BINC), which provides grants to booksellers in times of need. You can learn about BINC here: bincfoundation.org.

There are, of course, lots of ways you can you support Tattered Cover and help insure we come out of this crisis intact. Here's a short list:

1. Continue to be our customer and friend. We are so incredibly thankful for your support now and in the past. Follow us on social media, read our emails, let us know how you're doing!




2. Order through TatteredCover.com! Our website lists more than one million books and gifts, and ordering now will help us ride out the storm. We are now offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $10 sent via media mail.

3. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, we will be available to take orders over the phone. Not sure what you want? We'll help with recommendations! Just call 303-322-7727 between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm. You'll pay at the time of the order and can have the item(s) shipped, or...

4. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18, we are offering Curbside Pick-Up on a limited schedule at two of our stores. Here's the schedule:

  • COLFAX AVENUE: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

  • ASPEN GROVE (Littleton): 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.

When your order is complete and ready, you will receive instructions on where to pull up and how to notify us you're here . Once you're here, we'll walk the order out to your car. It's that simple!!!! (Please do not pull up curbside unless we've notified you an order is ready. We cannot let anyone in the store.)
