This month we’ll see the 1953 H.G. Clouzot classic Wages of Fear.
Clouzot’s film is one of the great thrillers. Four men, working for an irresponsible American oil company in South America, take on the job of driving two trucks laden with nitroglycerine. The questions go way beyond whether the job is worth the money the men will be paid, if they deliver the goods. With Yves Montand and Charles Vanel. (131 minutes)
