|Historic LoDo: Richard Louv, the author of the bestselling book Last Child in the Woods: Saving Our Children from Nature-Deficit Disorder, is the chairman of the Children & Nature Network, and has served as adviser to the Ford Foundation’s Leadership for a Changing World award program and the National Scientific Council on the Developing Child. Louv will discuss and sign his new book The Nature Principle: Human Restoration and the End of Nature-Deficit Disorder ($24.95 Algonquin). Supported by groundbreaking research, anecdotal evidence, and compelling personal stories, Louv shows us how tapping into the restorative powers of the natural world can boost mental acuity and creativity; promote health and wellness; build smarter and more sustainable businesses, communities, and economies; and ultimately strengthen human bonds.
