The TC History Buffs book club explores how human societies have changed over time. We analyze how past societies were structured, how they interacted with their environments, how they dealt with foreign cultures, and we get to know the individuals or groups who changed these trajectories for better or worse. Along this journey we'll delve into academic and popular history books, and we'll read an assortment of newly published, lesser-known, and important works in the historical discipline. I hope you'll join us!

Adam Behrman moderates the TC History Buffs Book Club. He has worked in the Tattered Cover Webstore since December 2020. In graduate school, Adam specialized in the environmental history of Latin America, but he enjoys nearly every history book he's read. When he's not reading history, you'll find Adam hiking, skiing, or playing with his two daughters! Some of Adam's favorite titles include: Cadillac Desert: The American West and its Disappearing Water by Marc Reisner, Seven Myths of the Spanish Conquest: Updated Edition by Matthew Restall, and A History of God: The 4,000 Year Quest of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam by Karen Armstrong.
