| Historic LoDo: Crumpet may be one cynical elf, but Colorado’s own Matt Zambrano is a joyful sprite of a guy. Come meet the ebullient young man who will perform David Sedaris’ The SantaLand Diaries at the Garner-Galleria Theatre this holiday season. Hear how he grew up in Wheat Ridge, earned a spot at the Denver Center’s National Theatre Conservatory and went on to become a National Poetry Slam semi-finalist. Unlike poets who speak from a place of anger or rage, Matt is known for his thoughtful, heart-rending wordplay. You may even hear a sample for yourself when Matt joins host John Moore for a fun-filled hour during Page to the Stage, an ongoing series of free lunchtime conversations. Page to Stage, brought to you by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, is designed to enrich your theatre experience and spark a conversation. John Moore is the former theater critic for The Denver Post, and is now an associate director for the Denver Center. The SantaLand Diaries, a co-production with the Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company, opens November 22. |
