**The event has been cancelled**

A Powerful Coming-of-age Story About Two Brothers, a Middle Grade Book Discussion

Jewell Parker Rhodes, bestselling and award-winning author of multiple books for young readers and adults, will discuss Black Brother, Black Brother ($16.99 Little, Brown Books for Young Readers). This is a powerful coming-of-age story about two brothers, one who presents as white, the other as black, and the complex ways in which they are forced to navigate the world, all while training for a fencing competition.

Jewell will be in conversation with Kelly McWilliams, author of Agnes at the End of the World ($17.99 Little, Brown Books for Young Readers). The Handmaid's Tale meets Wilder Girls in this genre-defying novel about a girl who escapes a terrifying cult only to discover that the world Outside has succumbed to a viral apocalypse.

This event is free and open to the public. It will be live streamed on our YouTube channel. You can watch the live stream HERE and even set reminders for when we go live. The event will be recorded and posted on our YouTube channel after the event.
