50 Great Inland Cruising Routes in the Netherlands: A guide to cruising on the canals and rivers of the Netherlands, with details of locks, bridges, m (Paperback)
This guide, which by this its second edition has already become one of the most thorough and up to date guides to cruising in the Netherlands, provides detailed information on over 50 cruising routes in the 12 different provinces of that country. Aimed at motor yachts cruising the 3500kms of Netherlands waterways that offer at least 4.0 metres air draft, the guide includes step-by-step navigation details for each route; bridge and lock opening procedures and times; descriptions of moorings and facilities; useful sources of information on every aspect of Netherlands cruising; a glossary of important Dutch terms and tips offering unique insights into particular locations. It is the first book to provide this level of detail and to be written to supplement the national Waterkaarten Nederlands charts. It even corrects numerous errors to be found in this and other apps and published guides. The guide is written by Cruising Association (CA) members Andy and Gwen Mulholland, who have cruised virtually every waterway in the Netherlands over the past decade, and edited by Gordon Knight. It is updated annually via reports from CA members actively cruising the inland waterways, several hundred of which are submitted each year, and includes a 25 per cent discount offer on first year's CA membership to purchasers applying online during the year. Members then have access to additional hyperlinks to the CA's proprietary CAptain's Mate app, enabling them to read the most up to date information on mooring locations and navigation restrictions as they are posted.
