Little Women (Puffin in Bloom) (Hardcover)
Staff Reviews
Written in the 1800s and still readable and pertinent for audiences today. Four sisters live with their mother in New England while the father is serving in the Civil War. An interesting portrait of period living. Each sister has a variety of personalities, struggles, and dreams. The sisters befriend a wealthy neighbor, two are interested in him as a suitor; he must choose one. There’s so much more to this classic, but not enough space convey it all. Read it for yourself. Settle in and enjoy.

But with their father away at war, and their mother working to support the family, they have to rely on one another.
