kidSPEAK started life as "Muggles for Harry Potter," and kids across the country learned first hand what censorship meant as their favorite book was challenged in their schools. kidSPEAK provides a means for kids to enter the discussion about censorship and the First Amendment, which so vitally affects their rights. Any kid can join kidSPEAK. There is no charge for membership. Nor is membership restricted to kids. Parents, teachers, librarians, booksellers and others play an important role in defending the rights of kids.
