Tattered Cover Film Series: Au Revoir les Enfants
Feb 5 2012 2:00 pm
Denver FilmCenter/Colfax: Join the Tattered Cover Book Store, UCD’s College of Arts & Media, Colorado Public Radio, and the new Denver FilmCenter/Colfax (in the Lowenstein CulturePlex, next door to the Tattered Cover Colfax Avenue) for an exploration of the world of classic movies, hosted by Colorado Public Radio film critic Howie Movshovitz at the Denver FilmCenter/Colfax. All programs begin at 2 pm. Admission is free, but tickets are required from the box office. Tickets are available one hour before screening. Parking is avilable in the parking lot off of Elizabeth or Columbine Streets. This month we’ll see the 1987 Louis Malle classic Au Revoir les Enfants. It took Louis Malle over forty years to make this autobiographical film about one inadvertent act, when he was a schoolboy during the Nazi occupation of France in World War II. The result was devastating, for both his friend at school and for himself. (103 minutes)
