Second Annual Local Flavor Festival

Lowenstein CulturePlex, Colfax Avenue: The Second Annual Local Flavor Festival will take place at the Lowenstein CulturePlex on Colfax & Elizabeth (on the Esplanade between the Tattered Cover Colfax Avenue and Twist & Shout). Last year we had lots of fun, and this year’s event promises to be even better with more activities, awesome local retailers and food vendors, a beer tent, and live local music! During the Local Flavor Festival, children and families are welcome to visit the Tattered Cover for two special events. At 11:30 a.m., Tattered Cover children’s section staff members will present a storytime and activity for young children. At 1:00 p.m., Molly Culhane, a young editor and writer for New Moon Girls magazine, will offer a book talk for girls ages 8 to 12. She’ll discuss great books for starting a Mother/Daughter book club.
