Historic LoDo: For more than forty-five years, author and photographer Boyd Norton has traveled to some of the world's most wild places. Drawn especially to the Serengeti ecosystem in Africa, Norton has spent twenty years documenting his travels and being actively involved in the environmental issues concerning the conservation and preservation of this region. In his new book Serengeti, Norton draws upon his extensive experiences and beautifully captures the history, people, animals, and the great migration of this ecosystem that makes this one of the most fascinating and special places in the world. Featuring Norton's firsthand accounts from Serengeti National Park, Kenya's Masai Mara, and Ngorongoro Crater, as well as memorable stories about the leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and rhinos that call this area home.
