Curt Fentress, Lawrence Argent & Michael McCoy - Public Architecture: The Art Inside

Architect Curtis Fentress, winner of the AIA’s 2010 Thomas Jefferson Award, the highest honor for public architecture, will be joined by celebrated guest artist Lawrence Argent and designer Michael McCoy to discuss art’s role in public architecture. Each designer will present his award-winning body of work and the inspiration and creative process behind his work in the public realm. The designers will then participate in a panel discussion moderated by Mary Chandler, former architectural critic of the Rocky Mountain News. Fentress and Chandler will then discuss and sign their new book Public Architecture: The Art Inside ($85.00 ORO Editions). Guests will hear the inside story on famous designs, ranging from Denver International Airport’s passenger terminal and the Colorado Convention Center with its beloved big blue bear, to public art sculptures and award-winning international furniture design.
