Colorado Matters at the Tattered: Helen Thorpe - Soldier Girls

Colfax Avenue

Colorado Public Radio joins us in presenting award-winning, bestselling local author Helen Thorpe, in conversation with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner, to discuss and sign Thorpe’s new book Soldier Girls: The Battles of Three Women at Home and at War ($28.00 Scribner). This powerfully moving account of three women deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq, shows how their military service affected their friendship, their personal lives, and their families. Deeply reported and beautifully written, Soldier Girls is truly groundbreaking.

Free numbered tickets for the signing line will be available beginning on Tuesday, August 5, at 9:00 am, at all Tattered Cover locations with the purchase of Soldier Girls. Line tickets will continue to be available through the start of the event with the purchase of the new book. Seating at the event is “open seating,” and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
