Bellwether Night with winners Hillary Jordan & Naomi Benaron
Oct 8 2012 7:30 pm
Colfax Avenue: In honor of the PEN/Bellwether Prize for Socially Engaged Fiction, founded by Barbara Kingsolver, we are pleased to present two Bellwether Prize-winners, who will join us for a special presentation and booksigning.

Hillary Jordan, who won the 2006 prize for her novel Mudbound, will discuss and sign the new paperback edition of her novel When She Woke (Algonquin), a powerful reimagining of The Scarlet Letter and a timely fable about a stigmatized woman struggling to navigate an
America of the not-too-distant future, where the line between church and
state has been eradicated and convicted felons are no longer imprisoned
and rehabilitated, but "chromed" and released back into the population. Can’t make it to the signing? Request an autographed copy here: books@tatteredcover.com
