Colfax Avenue: Loren Landow served as the 2011 Denver Broncos’ unofficial trainer during the pre-season lockout and Mike Klis covers the Broncos for the Denver Post. Landow and Klis will discuss and sign their new book My Off-Season with the Denver Broncos: Building a Championship Team (While Nobody’s Watching) (Taylor Trade). This story begins with Landow’s spring email to safety Brian Dawkins suggesting they work together to build a championship team while nobody was watching. From the early workouts where the team looked disorganized, to the media circus surrounding Tim Tebow, this book tells how Landow brought a disparate group of players together to form the 2011 Denver Broncos, the team everyone had written off from the start—who went on to win the AFC West.A special offer from the author: Enter to win! For every book purchased at Tattered Cover (the night of the event or earlier with proof of purchase), your name will be entered into a drawing to win five free training sessions with Loren at Steadman Hawkins, a $500+ value.Only books purchased at Tattered Cover Book Store (any of their three stores or online) are eligible. Must enter by 9 pm, 10/16/12 at the Colfax store event. Drawing will take place on Wednesday, 10/17 and the winner will be notified by phone.
