Charlaine Harris - Dead Reckoning
Start: 6:30 pm
Historic LoDo: Bestselling author Charlaine Harris will answer questions and sign her new book Dead Reckoning ($27.95 Ace), the latest in her much loved Sookie Stackhouse humorous horror/mystery series. Free numbered tickets for a place in the signing line will be available with the purchase of Dead Reckoning on Tuesday, May 3, at 9:00 am, at any Tattered Cover location. Each ticket will admit one person to the signing line. Customers may have a maximum of two books signed at a time, but may go through the line more than once to get more books signed. Seating for the Q&A session prior to the booksigning is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis to ticketed customers only. Event hall doors will open at 5:30 pm on the day of the event. Visit Charlaine Harris’s website. Request a signed copy: books@tatteredcover.com
Manuel Muñoz - What You See in the Dark
Start: 7:30 pm
Colfax Avenue: Manuel Muñoz is the author of two short story collections, the most recent of which, The Faith Healer of Olive Avenue, was a finalist for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. He teaches creative writing at the University of Arizona in Tucson, is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts literature fellowship, and in 2008 was awarded the prestigious Whiting Writers’ Award. Muñoz will read from and sign his debut novel What You See in the Dark ($23.95 Algonquin), a thoroughly original work that is intense and fascinating in its juxtapositions of tenderness and menace, violence and regret, played out in a town on the brink of change. Visit Manuel Muñoz’s website. Request a signed copy: books@tatteredcover.com
