Historic LoDo: Arctic historian and archaeologist, Dr. John Bockstoce, has been traveling and working in the north since 1962. He has carried out a series of excavations at Bering Strait and has served for ten seasons as a member of an Eskimo whaling crew to Point Hope, Alaska. Dr. Bockstoce will discuss the contest among native and foreign nations for the Bering Strait fur trade. Tesoro lectures are free and open to the public, however reservations are requested.
