About the Author


The monk Tegchok (born 1930) studied the major Buddhist treatises at Sera-je Monastic University in Tibet for 14 years before fleeing his homeland in 1959 following Chinese communist occupation of his country.

Thubten Chodron, an American-born Tibetan Buddhist nun, is the founder and abbess of Sravasti Abbey in Newport, Washington. Known for her clear and practical explanations of the Buddha s teachings, she travels world-wide, teaching and leading meditation retreats. She is the author of several books, including Open Heart, Clear Mind and Working with Anger.
